Dr. YSR Victory Celebrations and Car rally is a Grand Success in Bayarea
Bay Area Telugu Community and Bay Area congress fans hosted a Success meet to celebrate the triumph victory of Congress on July 05, 2009 at Indian community center (ICC) Milpitas, USA.
Bay Area Telugu community in coordination with BayArea Congress in the Bay Area hosted a success meet to celebrate the achievement of congress winning in the elections with Minister for Road and Building Smt.Galla Aruna Kumari, Minister for Law, courts & Technical Education Sri Mopi Devi Venkata Ramana Rao , Pedanna Krishna District MLA Sri Jogi Ramesh, and Galla Ramachandra Naidu chairman Amaraja Batteries Ltd.
The venue was filled with Congress Banners, Balloons, cutouts, posters and people with white outfits. Scores of Bay Area Telugu People have come to the events couple of hours ahead of the program start time. The banners and posters in the auditorium depicted the various programs (such as Arogya sri, 108 service, JalaYagnam, Indiramma gruha Nirmanam, free power) The stage and auditorium was filled with decorated like a wedding stage by artistic way of using white,Green and Orange color balloons and other items.
There was a car rally took place before the success meet, inaugurated by MLA Mr.Jogi Ramesh garu to celebrate the victory of Congress. Up on arrival of Ministers and MLA there was a big applause by the audience welcoming them. The Ministers and MLA personally met all the volunteers who strived so hard in making the Jaiho program a big success.
The program was kicked off by National song of India Vandemataram followed by the song Maa Telugu Tallaki Mallepudanda sang by a group of girls. The guests were invited on to the dais and were greeted by the Flower bouquets. Then Dr. Lakkireddy Hanimi Reddy in his speech mentioned about the polavaram and pulichintala projects, he said that everyone just spoke about these projects in words but its only YS Rajashekhar Reddy that made this possible in real. He also mentioned about the great program like Arogya Sri, initiated by the congress government. MR.Lakkireddy Hanimi Reddy said that YSR always stands on his words irrespective of the situations.
Jogi Ramesh in his speech mentioned that the congress was won mainly due to the peoples trust on YS Rajashekhar Reddy. He said that though there were many parties that contested in the elections and their main motive was to defeat YSR through caste feeling, regional feelings and even through religion feelings still Congress achieved success because of the many great programs initiated by YSR, He expressed his happiness being part of this success meet in Bay Area. He said though the NRI's were 10000 miles away from the home country far from parents still they are appreciating and showing their affection towards congress party.
During Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao speech he praised success of all telugu people in Bay Area. He requested all NRI’s to make contributions to the mother land (Andhra Pradesh and India) for helping to provide education, health, and jobs for all. He said congress government took initiative and increased the number of engineering colleges to promote technical education. He said education is the main asset for every person. He Mentioned about the many great programs that were started by the congress party which made it to win the elections second time.
Galla Aruna Kumari Minister for Road and Transport mentioned shared her experiences when she was health minister and the impact of Arogya sri pathakam which was a real god gift to the poor man in india. She said that many people got free Heart surgery, many kids who were deaf and dump were able to speak and listen as they got free treatment as a part of arogya sri pathakam. She said that YSR goal behind this is to make sure that no poor man in Andhra pradesh should die because he was not able to afford for the treatment. She said about the 108 service which was praised and appreciated even by the minister who visited India from UK Hearing about 108 services. She said that she felt for a second that she was in Hyderabad not in California seeing so many flags and banners. She even mentioned that she was feeling the success for the first time after the elections seeing so many people far from the mother land celebrating the victory of congress for the second time.
During this event Dr Lakkireddy BaliReddy, Galla Ramachandra Naidu and other spoke on the stage and praised YSR Leadership.

The Honorable Ministers and MLA were felicitated with shaluvas by Dr. Lakkireddy Hanimireddy, Suresh Vuyyuru, Sri Gopireddy, Venigalla Sastri, Mohan and Mohan Mallampaty along with all other team members.
People were entertained with movie songs by Vijaya Lakshmi and Chandra teja. There was fund raising for vegesna foundation.
