Washington D.C. chapter of YSR Congress Party office was inaugurated and the party flag was hoisted in Virginia, USA on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Several people from Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. attended this event to demonstrate solidarity with Jagan and the YSR Congress Party.
A one-minute mourning to Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy preceded the meeting. Then, Venkat Kondapolu kicked-off the meeting. Ramesh Valluru from Virginia, Pitla Sudarshan from Hyderabad, and Dr. Sesha Reddy Rt Director of Animal Husbandry spoke on this occasion.
Sreenivasa Reddy entertained the gathering with his songs on Dr. Y.S.R. and Jagan. Several political leaders including Gattu Ramachandra Rao (YSR Congress Party spokesperson), Y. V. Subba Reddy, Jonna Suryanarayana (Ex-MLA and Ex-ZP Chairman), Gunnam Nagi Reddy (Khammam District YSR Congress Party Incharge), and Perika Varaprasad addressed the gathering through teleconference.
The speakers described YSR Congress Party as the party of the people, by the people, and for the people. All the speakers remembered the golden regime of their beloved leader Dr. YSR. They praised and highlighted the welfare schemes for poor and popular projects introduced and implemented by the great leader and visionary Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
It was a well-attended gathering of more than 150 people who grouped together within a short notice to make the event a grand success. All the attendees pledged their support to Jagan and YSR Congress Party. They expressed their hope that people of Andhra Pradesh will stand by the young dynamic leader, YS Jagan, who is known for his hard work, commitment, trust, and service motive. He has been with the people fighting for their causes for the past 18 months after the sudden demise of Dr YSR.
People were very energetic and the whole auditorium was resounding with YSR, Jagan and YSR Congress Party slogans. Organizers of the event, Ramesh Valluru, Venkat Kondapolu, and Rajeev Rajolu, thanked each and every one of them for participating in the event and for making it a grand success.
