Over 200 people gathered in Irving, TX to extend their solidarity to Sharmila who is spearheading peoples movement called "Maro Praja Prasthanam". People from all walks of life gathered and vowed to standby YSR Congress Party and YSR family in both distress and in jubilance.
Mr. Raman Reddy Kristapati speaking at the occasion mentioned that while some parties have undertaken Padayatra in the hope to revive their political glory, Sharmila is amidst people to understand problems faced by the common man drawing comparison to that of great leader Late. YSR. Mr. Rao Kalvala recalled that people of Andhra Pradesh are fortunate to have many great leaders from YSR family serving needs of the people. He mentioned that there is severe competition among other political parties vying to appease the voters while YSRCP is the only party that is working for the welfare of the people.
Dr. Sridhar Korsapati expressed there is no dearth of leadership in YSR’s family, and should a need arise even the daughters of Y.S. Jagan will draw more crowd any given day. He said while Congress MP’s are celebrating in Delhi over the recent cabinet expansion, they are forgetting that their joy is short-lived as people are looking for an alternate leadership in the name of Y.S. Jagan.
Mr. Prasad Mallu in his speech mentioned Sharmila’s simplicity and ready-to-mingle attitude is drawing huge crowds unlike a parallel Pada Yatra, which was started for selfish gains. He mentioned that he is going to lead a delegation of NRI’s from Dallas which will join Sharmila’s prasthanam in December. Mr. Pratap Reddy Bhimireddy speaking on the occasion said it was very unfortunate that even women like Sharmila and Vijayamma are being criticized and targeting the YSR family in particular, whereas a towering personality like YSR always respected women such as Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and others in the A.P Cabinet.
