Mixed responses have been hitting the media after the news of police encounter of acid attacker Shakhmuri Srinivas was spread. While women and many among people are expressing their delight, Human Rights leader Bala Gopal and Gaddar have condemned it. They say that the culprits should be produced in court of law but shouldn't be encountered.
When these expressions are quoted, people started giving out their feelers this way:
"But here those leaders should understand how Naxalism has come to end almost. That's only with police encounters and fear on police bullet. What the hell these acid attackers do if jailed? They will be bailed out and some times even sent abroad as well. The alleged murderer of actress Pratyusha, who was arrested during TDP reign was sent to USA while the case was in vogue in Court", recalled an observer talking in a news channel.
"We have to recall Balakrishna's shooting episode also here. He wasn't jailed and nor troubled in the shackles of law. He has shot Bellamkonda Suresh and astrologer Satyanarayana Choudary who were hospitalized just like Swapnika and Praneetha. A security guard was also killed inside the residence of Balakrishna which didn't attract any attention of law and order. If law and order carries on its job, why Balakrishna's issue wasn't brought to light? It's only the influence that bails out a person from any sort of crime in India. And that exit gate pumps in criminal mentality among the youngsters like Shakhamuri Srinivas. What police did is commendable I feel", says Prameela, a school teacher.
People believe that once the criminal goes into the hands of law and order there will be more chances for him to escape than getting killed in encounter.
