Trump, 79, Caught Nodding Off in Cabinet Meeting

President Donald Trump, 79, once again appeared to struggle to stay awake during his own Cabinet meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

Throughout the session, the president shifted in his chair; leaning forward, leaning back, fidgeting with his hands; while his eyelids grew noticeably heavy as Cabinet members delivered updates.

At several points, Trump’s eyes were fully closed, giving the impression that he had briefly drifted off.

This latest on-camera moment comes just over a week after The New York Times reported a marked decline in Trump’s overall energy and daily activity compared to his first term. The president has reportedly been furious about the coverage.

While long meetings can challenge anyone’s attention span, critics say these incidents raise additional concerns about his stamina and alertness.

Trump has been seen dozing off in other official settings as well, including a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Riyadh in May.

The repeated episodes are fueling ongoing debate about the physical and mental fitness of the man who is poised to finish this term as the oldest president in U.S. history.
