A night filled with musical emotions, a night that reflected tollywood mood abroad, a night that brought togetherness of telugus and honoring people who continue to leave a mark in their respective fields. All this happened in Dallas, TX on Saturday March, 03 2012.
The venue was Thomas Jefferson high school where a jam packed audience of over 1500 watched the true spirit of tollywood extravaganza unfold.
There was music, dances, comedy skits and much more that kept the audience glued and wanting for more. Simha, M.M.Srilekha were at their best rendering many catchy songs from both Telugu and Hindi movies and were truly appreciated by those present there.
Kamna Jethmalani and Poonam Kaur performed to the latest songs from Dookudu, Businessman and Dhada. Their dances kept the people mesmerizing and the actresses were being accorded with whistles and dances in turn. Kids were seen by the stage dancing all the time, while Simha ensured he took the best opportunity to entertain the crowd. Uttej and Kalpana were at their best along with Shivaji Raja and Soumya Roy providing wholesome entertainment via comedy skits.
Mahesh Adibhatla was the MC for the night. Srinivas Veeravelli, Prasad Mallu and Pratap Bhimireddy were the event organizers overseeing the entire logistics of the event. Felicitations were done to Mr. NMS Reddy for his selfless service to the Dallas telugu community. Mr. Narsimha Reddy Urimindi for his hard work towards Telugu literature and on the occasion of achieving his "Glory of India" award from union minister Rajiv Shukla. Mr. Sridhar Korsapati who is elavated to as president, IANT for his dynamic leadership skills, instilling leadership values and confidence to the Dallas telugu community.
Later the entire core committee for the event, sponsors, community leaders, media involved in what is called the highlight of the night. A grand felicitation ensued to Shri. S.V.Krishna Reddy. A brief video was played to the audience which showed the achievements till date. Mr. K.C.Chekuri, owner of Yuva media later spoke high about Mr. S.V.Krishna Reddy.
The event had sumptuous food provided by Paradise biryani point. Mahesh Adibhatla later thanked sponsors, dallas telugu community, media and all leaders who provided support in making it a memorable event in the history of Dallas.
