
It was a memorable day on Saturday April 30th with your overwhelming attendance from all over Delaware valley making the 2011 TAGDV Ugadi Celebrations and Cultural Competitions a successful event.
TAGDV would like to personally thank you for everybody who attended 2011 TAGDV Ugadi Celebrations and Cultural Competitions. It was a huge success, with more than 1000 people attending the event. This time we gave the highest priority to our local talent which turned out the program to be amazing.
Over 230 kids participated in the celebrations which is a record throughout the history of TAGDV. All the participants gave an amazing performance.
This Twelve-hour event started at 9:30 AM with a welcome speech by Ravi Potluri, Secretary of TAGDV.
Special thanks to the Cultural Committee, Madhavi Mandala, Raj Kuppuswamy, Shanthi Korutla and Suresh Reddy for their perfect execution. We got a wonderful school, which has great capacity and helped to accommodate almost 1000+ people with ease. The registration committee Lalitha Rallapalli, Hari Bungatavula, Venu Bathini worked hard to make this event grand success.
The prime time program started by President Sailaja Adluru's welcome speech followed by singing the national anthem of India and United States. Hero Sunil was welcomed by kids throwing flower petals and playing his chartbuster song "rajadhiraja" from Andala Ramudu. Audience welcomed him with non-stop claps and vigils and Sunil enthralled the audience especially the Kids and youth with his mimicry, dance performance (moon walk) and dialogue delivery. Heroine Vimala Raman entertained the audience with her lovely telugu dialogues and enthusiasm involving the audience during the show. MC's Sri Lakshmi and Bhaskar Sarikonda did wonderful job.
Special thanks to Jon Fox (Former Congressmen) & Diane Morgan (Montogomery County Controller) and Dr. Jana Mallis for their well-delivered motivational speeches that inspired all the audience.
The Ugadi Vindu Bhojanam from Dosahut was delicious and well appreciated by all the member families and the guests. Food Committee members Padmini Karnam, Madhu Divyakola, Sambaih Kotapati worked hard to make this event very successful.
It was an excellent team effort under the leadership of Sailaja Adluru. TAGDV is enthused with your patronage and continue its dedication towards nourishing, propagation, enrichment and preservation of our Telugu culture and values and passing them on to the future generation.
TAGDV paid rich tributes to Arjun Dyapa and observed a minute of silence to the departed soul of Arjun Dyapa.

It was possible due to the dedication and hard work of all members of the Executive Committee and Volunteers. This event could not have been a success without the help of volunteers who donated their valuable time and worked hard to make this event grand success.
