Successful Yoga/Surya Namaskara Workshop by NATA

Bright and early, many Yoga enthusiasts started coming to the Yoga / Surya Namaskara Workshop with Dr Sri Krishna Chandaka.

The NATA Health Initiative was kicked off by Raghava Tadavarthi. We started with Om kara and then with Bramari Pranayam. Then right into the first round of Surya Namaskaras!

Then Dr SriKrishna broke different poses of Surya Namaskaras into 3 sets and went into details of each pose, and then we had few rounds of complete Surya Namaskaras. After that Dr Srikrishna made us practice few asanas that would help with reducing tummy.

On Day 2, Dr Srikrishna started the day with Bramari Pranayam and took us through another set of Surya Namaskaras. We also got exposed to some more asanas that would help with increasing the concentration and we were shown some more poses that would help with toning of our body.

Right after a short break, the Surya Namaskara marathon was started. The attendees were so excited that there were very few that ever wanted to give up – that was a wonderful team! After few rigorous rounds we had few participants that stood out to be the best, they were presented with the Yoga Book written by Dr Srikrishna Chandaka.

We concluded the day with a nice ceremony with recognition to our winners:
Monica – First Place, Madhu Kota – Second Place, Goutham Goli – Third Place.

Dr Srikrishna Chandaka was facilitated with a bouquet by Gautam Goli and a shawl by Dr Satya Narayana Reddy. The event was concluded with presentation of a plaque by Bala Indurti along with the NATA team.

In all, we had great participation and the hall was full both the days. Many participants were very appreciative of NATA Health Initiative and expressed that they are looking forward to similar events from NATA.
