Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam In NJ On May 5th

GRAND Sri Srinivasa (Balaji) Kalyanam, by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (Sri Kalyanotsavam Project) on May 5th 2012 at Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, New Jersey.

Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple (Sri Krishnaji Mandir) is pleased that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is organizing Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam in New Jersey on Saturday May 5th 2012, at its sprawling 42 acre campus in Morganville, NJ, said Dr. Mani Yegnasubramanian, Chairman of the Temple.

To propagate Bhakti and Sanatana Dharma, TTD has been performing Sri Srinivasa Kalyanams at many places in India and also abroad for the past few years. It is believed that, the region, where celestial kalyanams are performed, would be bestowed with peace and prosperity.

As a part of this Project, Tirumala Devasthanams has performed its first ever Kalyanam outside of India at Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple in May 2010. That event was attended by several thousand devotees and several million devotees watched live all over the world. After the great success of that program in 2010, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have donated the Utsava Moorthis of Lord Srinivasa, Sreedevi and Bhudevi to the temple.

Again, on Saturday, May 5th 2012, TTD is sending several Veda Pundits and Archakas to our temple to perform the Celestial Wedding, Dr. Mani said. The TTD Chairman, Executive Officer and several other officials from TTD are expected to grace the occasion.

Highlight of the program is that, not only Srivari Kalyanam, but also all the Sevas that are done at Tirumala for Srivaru will be performed here at our door step on May 5th starting at 6.00am with Suprabhatam, followed by Tomala Seva, Archana and  Kalyanam. It is a rare and exclusive opportunity for all of us to witness and participate in this grand event organized by TTD in the tri-state area, he said.

The devotees can register for the Kalyanam at www.krishnatemple.org/srinivasakalyanam and participate in this divine event. Kindly pass on this information to friends and relatives across USA and Canada and we urge you to register at the earliest, Dr. Mani said.

Dr. Mani also mentioned that following the Kalyanam, the temple is organizing an unique CONGREGATION OF OUR YOUTH, starting at 3 PM. During this first-of- a-kind program, all the children (on whose names a square foot of the temple was donated) will assemble in front of Kalyana Srinivasa, recite Mantras and deliver speeches. This program is designed to inspire and inculcate the spirit of oneness among our youth and to SEED a positive emotional attachment to the temple. They are the FUTURE of our culture, and we believe that this ensemble will play an important role in fostering our tradition, he said.

The Grand Opening and MahaKumbhabhishekam of the newly built Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple is planned on July 1st, 2012. The religious programs and celebrations will start on June 28th, 2012 and conclude on July 4th, 2012.  The temple invites all to attend the MahaKumbhabhishekam, of one of the very Grand temples in North America and get blessed. Details can be found at www.krishnatemple.org.
