School Students Frightened With 'Recession'!!

The schools now-a-days have turned a commercial palaces. The kids are being targeted with any kind of subject in the name of special lectures and career counseling. Well, how career counseling appeals for school kids? You may wonder but here is the truth.

This weekend a prominent counselor raised eyebrows with his advice at the inauguration of a school supported by a prominent corporate group. According to him, our school system may be good at academics, but it falls short of preparing students for life. That’s why the recession in US has affected even successful NRIs there badly. Guests who thought he was meandering were taken aback when he concluded that schools must develop life skills that will prepare students to be tough enough to tackle all problems in life by discussing issues like job loss, recession, etc.

This had some parents and guests muttering, “In the name of planning, kids are already being asked to prepare for entrance tests. If we start discussing recession etc, they will ask us why they should study from now if we are not sure of jobs after 10 years. It’s better to be innocent at that age.” Who is proved right is anybody’s guess.
