Recession Hits Divorced Techies!!!

It looks like the woes of the IT professionals who have been getting plundered under the burden of the recession and the latest stand off due to the 'Satyam' episode are going to have a long way to go before they can come back to normal lives. Strange as it may seem, the fangs of recession has been finding its presence in some of the most unexpected and unwanted spheres of human lives now.

Till sometime back, it was only those who were working in the IT sector and their professional lives that was getting affected by the recession rumbles but now it is heard that this has begun affecting the personal lives in a very big way. While married couple have been venting out their frustrations in their bedrooms leading to splits-villas and counseling sessions from experts, those who are married and divorced seem to be having their own share of woes now. Unfortunately, it is the male folk who are biting the bullet big time.

It is a known norm that the men are supposed to pay alimony and financial compensation to ex-wives for their maintenance and this has now resulted as a major burden to many of those who are divorced. There is news coming in from various family court lawyers who said that divorced Techies have been calling  up to find out how best they can come down on the alimony part since life has been getting very tough due to the financial crunch.

With packages getting reduced into half, the divorced techies are in no position to manage their own livelihood given other commitments like parents etc so at this point, shelling out the lion's share to the ex-partner has become a nightmare. Applications are said to be raising in this regard to see how best this situation can be tackled.

All this has been causing severe financial and emotional stress to the male folk and whatever happened to the equal rights and no gender bias issues, for now it is being seen that the man's world is crumbling big time due to the recession and the divorce tag that he has to carry for the rest of his life.

However, it is heard that the family court lawyers seem to be playing it quite safe on this one and in a way rather insensitive manner since they are expressing their own doubts as to how much such petitions will stand good in the court. While those that are considerate are trying to do their best to get a consensus on this one, this new recession problem for the divorced techies is surely something that will leave a lasting impact for the IT male folk.
