There was a time when I was proud to call myself a citizen of India and that too from the Telugu land but now, I am feeling quite embarrassed and frustrated. Well, it is the spate of our political system and the stand taken by several veteran leaders that is causing so much disgust.
More so, the situation in Andhra Pradesh looks even more critical. The Congress party has always been known for its group politics, corruption and disharmony but now, it looks like this has touched the hilt, thanks to the seniors who are running the show. I regularly read Greatandhra and am fond of it. I recently read this political comment "We are all big zero without Sonia" made by K Kesava Rao. I am writing this comment in the frustration as an Indian Citizen. If the leaders like him admit they are big zeroes what would be the fate of the people whom they are governing. Why do big zeroes want to lead the people? It is the disgust of the Andhra Politics. We definitely need young blood in the politics not Zeros and losers.
It is about time folks like Kesava Rao, Hanumantha Rao, Venkatsamy, Nedurumalli and others hang up their boots and make way for the new blood. They have made tons of money in their tenure though they act innocent and idealistic but unless there is fresh blood and that too young blood coming in, the ethics in politics is going to get rotten. And with the second cadre leaders like Ponuguleti, Tulasi Reddy and others passing the buck on the opposition, it goes to show where the entire party is heading and where they are taking the state as well.
This is an urge to the youth of the state to come forward, make a difference to the society and only then the state would be ridden of the rotten corruption and rusted systems.
