Political Talk: We Want Either YS Jagan Or Chandrababu

The current political situation in Andhra Pradesh has been quite volatile and mixed reactions have been coming in from different corners of the state. The reason for that happens to be two persons – K Chandrasekhar Rao and K Rosiah.

While KCR is getting cursed for his stubborn and violent agitation for a separate Telangana state, Rosiah has been getting several brickbats for not being able to handle the situation and instead coming up with an assurance of a separate state much against the wishes of many. This has triggered a severe protest among the entire state and now, a common opinion is being expressed by many across the state and also across the NRI Telugu circles. They say that the right person to be the chief minister at this point of time is either Chandrababu Naidu or Y S Jagan.

Apparently, they say that this is perhaps the weakest display of power shown by any government in Andhra Pradesh history and add that while running a crucial and powerful state, it calls for some aggressive steps to maintain law and order and also focus on the smooth running of day to day lives.

While one group feels that Chandrababu would have made a better choice given his strategic brain and shrewd political nature, the others say that Jagan is the apt choice since he is aware of the situation completely and must have already taken a leaf or two from his late father, Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

They are up in arms against Rosiah and his team since they feel that the government has not stood up to the time when the situation demanded and took a meek way out. The reactions for that can be seen clearly now and a state of unrest and panic is prevailing across the entire state.

They also claim that if such an approach is taken, then there will be many KCRs who will pop up and will not rest until the entire state is cut into pieces and the Telugu man is made a total joke.

They remind the current government of some self esteem and efficiency in handling such a situation and blame that it is purely due to the spineless decision making that this crisis has unfolded. Given the dose of criticism that Rosiah has borne in the past few days let us hope that he comes up with a master plan and lives up to the expectations of those who still believe that he can resolve the situation and silence all his critics.
