People for Loksatta (PFL), a vibrant political organization from USA, had expressed shock and dismay over the government’s high handedness in handling Baba Ramdev's fast.
According to a press statement, PFL demands the Prime Minister to respond and take responsibility for the assault on a peaceful protest.
PFL also condemns in the strongest words, the utter disrespect shown by Digvijay Singh to Baba Ramdev by calling him a thug.PFL Says that there is no right for anybody to say to stay away from politics.
PFL along with Bharat Swabhiman Party in USA Conducted rallies and Participated in one day fasting in various cities.
Hyma Sagi said, “How is our India different from Libya if human rights can be violated so grossly. If this is the fate of Baba that has millions of admirers then what about the common man that wants to fight injustice”. Hyma had co-ordinated events in various cities in USA on June 4th in support of Baba Ramdev’s fast.
Sreekanth Kocharlakota and Team had a meet and fasted for one day along with the Bharat swabhiman Members in USA and they all agreed to work together to fights against coruption.In that meet thy gave a call for all NRI Organizations in USA to come and support whoever comefoward to fight against Corruption
“This mistake by the government should cost them dearly. let us not let the sacrifices of many unknown heroes and Right to Information (RTI) activists go waste. To those of us that are still complacent and that are still sitting on the fence, this is an open call from People for Loksatta, wake up now and stand by us.” said Prasanna Meda, PFL president. PFL has been campaigning against corruption and had organised events like “Dandi March II” and expressed solidarity to Anna Hazare and Jan Lokpal bill in the past.
