Perhaps the most unholy relation is on the verge evolution in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It will leave an indelible mark in the future politics of Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad in particular.
Yes I am talking about the affinity that is being shown by PRP towards Congress, the same party which once said Congress is no match to them, the same PRP which said 'Panchelu udadisi nayakulani parugethinchali' (it's a different question as to where the person went missing who said this). This same party is now in an identity crisis and desperetly needs a tie up. But I wonder where is the need for a ruling party like Congress for a tie up which has more than 4 years of ruling left. Is the Congress not confident of winning on it's own so as to take help of a party which cannot even win a single seat inspite of it's president's public image, for which the people clearly showed a mandate only 5 months ago. Under these circumstances let's recollect the statements which the so called senior leaders in the Congress asserted - that they do not need any alliance and that they can perform individually.
So what transpired in a single day? While I leave it to the senses of the intelligent readers, I cannot help but believe in the Musalam article published by Greatandhra about how the old heads are making while the sun is shining. While I strongly suggest Congress to go independent in the forthcoming elections. I do ask the PCC president as to why tie up with PRP and not Lok Satta Party? Lok Satta has credible following in the Greater Hyderabad area as compared to PRP. People in Hyderabad atleast believe in what Jaya Prakash Narayan says and would benefit Congress, although it is a different question as to whether Lok Satta is interested in a tie-up. This would definetly lead us to believe that it is PRP which desperetly wants a tie-up. Remember Devendar Goud who fought the elections on behalf of PRP and had to bite the mud, so what do we learn from this - PRP has zero credibility.
The whole exercise will ultimately help TDP to gain maximum in the Greater area. I liked the suggestion to have YS Jagan campaign for the GHMC elections, obviously it will be nostalgic to many in that part of the world and will ultimately ensure Congress victory, but what is happening is the exact opposite of it.
Remember the 2nd phobia -
September 2nd YSR died in a chopper crash
October 2nd AP Floods
and now God forbid what if the pact is finalized between PRP and Congress on November 2nd, all these are negative vibes for Congress, the sooner the PCC president and High Command realizes this, the better it will be for the Congress party.
