Number one in Google search, number one in Yahoo search, lead story in most national channels' prime news broadcasts with follow up discussions, all Telugu channels had only one person to talk about for a couple of days.
Jagan is still all over the media. And some Congress leaders, who do not want to see the truth say he was just an MP. Yeah, Niagara Falls is just another falls! The timing was perfect. Congress party was routed in Bihar assembly polls as well as local body elections in UP. The Spectrum 2G scam that rivals Bofors and stalled the Parliament indefinitely. All of the Congress HC's bluffs were called by YS Jagan and they are standing on the road with not much of clothing on.
The massive support that Jagan is attracting and the fighting spirit he is showing are endowing him to more and more people, so much so that there are rumors that Pranab Mukharjee apparently admitted their gravest mistake. The Congress party, as is their pattern would not come down from their pedestal to beg and invite YS Jagan back and will see the ruins in Andhra Pradesh, and there by shooting down the bleak chances of seeing Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. The joke is Kiran Kumar Reddy (KKR) wants to secure 41 MP seats from the state to make Rahul Gandhi the PM, in stead they should focus on getting deposits for 41 candidates.
There may be many reasons for YSV to do what he did. Most Congress workers and general public are very upset with him. But, what KKR had done in the past couple of weeks of his rule actually drove more people to seek more vengeance on the party.
How can a supposed staunch YSR follower like KKR do what he had done to demean YSR family? KKR went to Kaka, KK, Jaipal Reddy's houses and met them personally after becoming CM. Were those people ever responsible for KKR to be where he is today? And, he never bothered to seek Vijayamma's blessings. He should have begged Sonia Gandhi to get the permission to do so and there by, would have gained a little public sympathy. It may not be his arrogance but people don't know any better than to think that he mistreated Vijayamma and YSR memory. They think, how can KKR, who won on YSR's kindness and had become the Chief Minister because of YSR's mercy can mistreat the great leader's wife. So, if Sonia Gandhi thought she could control people of Andhra Pradesh's emotions by installing a sound leader in KKR, it actually backfired. And, people got angrier when Sonia did not even attempt to discourage YS Vijayamma from resigning. Masses have confirmed and reconfirmed that Sonia Gandhi did not show any respect to the memory of YSR, who single handedly got Congress Party power in both state and centre. This is what is driving the masses to gather in huge numbers where ever YS Jagan goes. Even a political novice can see it and one wonders why Sonia Gandhi, Pranab Mukharjee and other so called big heads cannot see. How can KKR run the government that accuses YSR of corruption and that too after YSR was the sole reason for this government's existence? What YSR ideals he wants to take forward, the ideals that YSR truly believed in or the corruption that his ministerial colleagues and Congress HC propagating in the news outlets? Does he seriously think he can fool anyone with his duel stand of insulting YSR family and claiming the legacy of YSR? One wonders if YS Jagan is driven by the vengeance resulting in the great insult to YSR family in the hands of Congress party.
People are observing what YS Viveka, Anam Viveka, DL, Tulasi Reddy, Revanth Reddy, Manikyam, Danam, Jana Reddy, VH, KK, Kavuri, Telangana MPs, and others’ comments on both YSJ and YSR. Congress will be necked out from both the State and Centre by the people of Andhra Pradesh come next elections. Some politicians and political analysts claim to never trust people. The history disagrees with them. Peoples’ will never failed in any instance. Classic example was YSR 2009 victory against all odds. YSR went against powerful Mahakootami (of TDP, TRS, CPI, CPM) with cash for life schemes, Chiranjeevi’s millions of fans, government anti-incumbency and won a great victory. YSR 2009 victory was more impressive than his 2004 victory, which was more of an emotional one as people wanted to reward him for his 30 years of unflinching political struggle, inept Chandra Babu rule of the day, and 2003 Padayatra. Can anyone think people cannot be trusted? Money plays a major role in elections but it’s the people in the end that would decide who they want to be ruled under. They are with Jagan now and they will prove all the skeptics wrong.
The political wheels started churning as soon as YS Jagan announced that he was going to launch a new party. He was very clear why he wanted to start a new part while talking to his followers in Pulivendula. He had come across as an unflinching leader in his father's mould in the past 14 months. Never did he go back on his word. He is smart enough to estimate that the Congress HC and TDP will go hard at him and his supporters. He is, as always prepared. His speech in Pulivendula indicates a welcome deviation from his monotonous speeches during Odarpu Yatra, which of course suited the occasion. He will sharpen his tongue more and more as the body slams start coming from Congress HC. He is like a boxer that entered in to the boxing ring. He is mature enough to understand this and had shown the people who he is. A great chapter has started in the present day history with Jagan's tour of Guntur and Krishna districts, the highlights being Bandar centre meeting and the call of mass hunger strike of 48 hours with the farmers, starting on his birthday, December 21. Panicked, Chandra Babu follows the young leader's footsteps and wants to something that he never ventured in his life, hunger strike. Jagan's speeches have become his great strength. If there were any doubts on his leadership skills in the public, they are all gone now. General public and Congress party workers are forcing the local MLAs and MPs to side with YS Jagan. And the MLAs and MPs are under pressure from a different angle that if they don't go with YS Jagan, the secondary cadre might go first and become threats for their future.
One can see the fear in High Command's eyes clearly. Everyone used to think that getting Sonia Gandhi's appointment, or for that matter even of her chamcha Ahmad Patel's was almost impossible for any state leader, as they are taking care of so many states and no time for to meet any one. Now, it has become a full time job for them to concentrate on AP politics, the MLAs have become tigers, and they have to pacify even first time MLAs. They themselves are calling MLAs with appointments. What a change? They are spending sleepless nights with Jagannaama smarana. Some MLAs were promised many big things, which they cannot even think of doing in the first place. They are using a band-aid to cover a deep bullet hole. The HC cannot serve a show-cause notice to even a one time MLA. Is it not a pathetic fall from a high pedestal with the ways that they dealt with YS Jagan and there by insulted YSR's memory? One wonders what kind of welcome KKs, Jaipal's and VHs get with Sonia Gandhi now. Congress high command has been thrown in to fire from frying pan with their mindless acts of the past fourteen months.
All the surveys that have gone into commission tell one thing. YS Jagan's new party is at the top and the battle is going to be with TDP, which is a distant second. Self respect and self rule of Telugus have come to the fore once again, the first time since 1983. As everyone knows, when you forget the roots of the tree, the tree is bound to die. And, this is precisely what is going to happen to Congress party in the state and with it the party at the Centre, despite all the bravado from the so called leaders, who on one hand criticize YSR and on the other hand want his legacy. People never have seen such confused party and leaders!
