Nice caption for a B grade masala movie. The reason why I am writing this is, our beloved Telangana Leader KCR made this comment.
Let’s make things clear, I am from Hyderabad. Even though my parents are from Andhra region I never lived for more than 10 days in my native place in Andhra region. I never considered myself Andhrite nor Telanaganite. But I took pride in saying that I am a “pacca hyderabadi” when people asked me where I am from.
This doesn’t mean I have disrespect for neither Andhra people nor Telangana people. I have in my family who are born and raised in Telangana region. The point is if KCR is talking about “valasadarulu” in Hyderabad,
- What is the definition of “valasadarulu”?
- What is the timeframe to be considered as “valasadarulu”?
Is it people residing in Hyderabad since 1960 or 1970 or 1980 or what?
The point is, my heart boils when I see villages in Telangana region where people don’t have water to drink even though there are two great rivers that flow through the region. I once came across a video in YouTube when Mr. Harish Rao of TRS was arguing his point in Assembly about the number of government degree colleges in Guntur (over 24) and government degree colleges in Ranga Reddy district (over 5 colleges). This really made me to do research on the type of decisions taken by previous governments that created this huge imbalance between different regions. The difference is enormous to an extent unbelievable and commendable.
Back to the original point, my heart and soul belongs to Hyderabad and Telangana region. With statements like this (*Jago Telangana Wale: Bhago Andhra wale)* please don’t create disturbance between brothers. How would driving away Andhra people from Hyderabad resolve the problem of Telanganites?
Do driving Andhra people from Telangana resolve the Flouride problem for Telangana region?
Does a driving Andhra person from Telangana resolve the water resource problem for Telangana region?
Does a driving Andhra person from Telangana resolve the imbalance in education activity in Telangana region?
I have huge respect for KCR who is fighting for a good cause. But misleading people who are living harmoniously is not at all agreeable.
No matter Andhra, Telangana, Rayalaseema we are all brothers from same land. Let’s focus on creating equal opportunities for all people of Andhra Pradesh.
Note: I am sure I will be getting huge email’s from pro Telanganites and pro Andhraites. I did not write this to get compliments/comments. As I mentioned I felt a responsibility as a citizen to address this issue of rationalizing people for political gain.
