Opinion: A black day in AP politics

What we have witnessed today is no less to be termed as a "dark day" in the judiciary and legislative system of the state.

All these days we believed judiciary is one and only place left in the country where justice prevails and is served, but to our utter dismay and belief we were proven wrong. I don't say this after watching a tollywood flick but convey this with utmost consciousness just as how we take oath in the court of law.

Under the directives of the High Court of A.P, the CBI has taken up the investigation on the alleged (mind you it is still alleged and not proven) assets of Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy, and where did this originate from? From a person who makes mockery of himself in the A.P politics every day Mr. P.Shankar Rao.

A person who tried his best to save his Minister portfolio but got hammered for not resigning for the cause of Telangana and later succumbing.

What surprises me is that based on a letter how can the High Court accept a case and direct the CBI to start their investigation. There are hundreds of PIL's that are filed each day and no one cares in the state, but why is the judiciary so keen to take up and show Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy in a poor light. We all need to stop and think here for a minute. It is our constitution which gave us lots of freedom of speech, and that very freedom is being manipulated to satisfy personal egos. I want to ask where were these Shankar Raos and D.L Ravindra Reddys when YSR was alive and when the current opposition leader was heading the state? We all know that the current opposition leader has gained enormous wealth and invested in Singapore and Mauritius.

Why can't these galli leaders talk about them and why do they target Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy only. I know why? I know because they are scared. They are scared for a fact that the state is going to witness a new emerging leader that will wipe out the 125 year old Congress Party in the state pretty soon.

Why can't these leaders ask where Quattrocchi is? Why can't they raise the Bofors scandal issue? Why can't they raise the nationality of Sonia Gandhi. Again, they are scared. They are scared that they won't be able to enjoy the privileges they do now while chanting Sonia amma's mantra. They are scared that they may miss out on the cabinet berths.

Many of us if not all, know that most of the buyers at the Emaar estates were either Telugu Desam or Congress leaders. Why are they not being dragged by Shankar Rao alias clown. I demand that everyone be interrogated by the CBI before making a decision on the inappropriate assets case. After all the judiciary itself claims"A person helping or knowing the guilty while committing a crime is equally guilty" (although in this case Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy has nothing to do with the misappropriation assets).

Let justice prevail.
