NRIVA Vasavi Association celebrated NRIVA Global convention 2013 for 3 days in Georgia International convention center in Atlanta with more than 3000 participants from all over USA, India and other parts of the world. As part of NRIVA's campaign for Non-Violence, Global convention started with tribute to Non Violence leaders at Martin Luther King center at Mahatma Gandhi memorial in Atlanta. Honorable Minister from Andhra Pradesh Sri.T.G.Venkatesh Garu and NRIVA Team with the coordination of Sri.Subhash Razdan - Chairman of Gandhi Foundation of USA, paid rich tribute to Mahathma Gandhi and Martin Luther King.Jr.
Awards Banquet Gala night was held in GICC ballroom with 1500 people and arrangements were done extra-ordinarily with great Cultural programs, Recognitions and Felicitation of Several Leaders from USA and India.
Convention main day event started with Invocation lamp lighting by HH.Sri.Sri.China Jeeyar Swamiji followed by Swamiji's discourse, Inauguration of Non-Violence leaders, Opening the inaugural session with Vasavi Matha song by 50 ladies that was coordinated by Shruthi Laya of Atlanta, Vasavi Matha Dance Drama by Sasikala Penumarthy's group, Padmaja Kelam's fusion dance, Key Note address by Chief guest Honorable Minister from Andhra Pradesh Sri.T.G.Venkatesh and Honorable Ex.MP Sri.Ramdas Agarwal and Address by Deputy Consul general of Indian Consulate Atlanta Sri.Rajinder Singh, Karnataka Legislative Member Sri.Jagadesh Kumar Garu, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Member Sri. Vellampalli Srinivas Garu, TRS Vice President Sri.Ganesh Bigala Garu and many distinguished guests from all over.
In the first Global Convention Chief Guest Sri GMR announced the matching grant in the amount of $250000 and the team launched the project. Second Global Convention Chief Guest Honorable Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri T.G Venkatesh garu announced his generous donation of Rs. 6 crores (1 million) worth of land to be used in the NRIVA service activities, as he was very much impressed with the service activities undertaken by the NRIVA.
NRIVA conducted Super Singer and Dancing competitions and more than 70 talented kids took part in all day contest. Hero Suman and Siva Reddy were judges for Super Dance competition while singers Malavika, Anjana Sowmya, Sravana Bhargavi, Hemachandra and Revanth judged Super singer competition.
Sessions like Matrimonial, Business, Kids, Youth, Women, Spiritual, Math and other sessions got great response and done excellently by the team.
Many competitions like Chess, Math, Lose to gain, Business Plan Competition got huge participation and hundreds of talented members took part in these competitions.
More than 60 Exhibits were set up with the vendors from USA and India. These exhibits includes jewelry, Apparel, Real estate, Arts and Crafts, Services and many others. SriKrishna Jewellers and Kalamandir were the best options for all the shoppers.
Cultural programs with extraordinary performance by more than 350 participants from Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago, Ohio, St. Louis, New Jersey, Tampa, Boston and many other chapters gave the greatest convention experience one can have. Many well-known dance schools across USA also brought professional grade cultural programs.
As the final day of the convention, Grand SeethaRama Kalyanam was performed by more than 1000 people under the guidance of Sri.Sri.China Jeeyar Swamiji.
All leaders, artists, guests from overseas and more than 3000 convention delegates appreciated great hospitality by the team.
More than 200 member convention-team worked very hard for more than 6 months to make this convention a grand success. Each and every one worked as a great team and took the ownership of every task that came in their way and delivered their best.
