Dheeraj Sukhavasi, 23 yrs old M.S. student of Lamar University, Beaumont, TX died on Monday, Sept. 14th, 2009 at 8:30 PM in Houston. Reason for his death is unknown at this point of time and it is under investigation. He graduated from Progressive Engineering college in 2007 and joined Lamar University. Dheeraj is survived by his parents Dhanunjaya Rao (employee at HCL, Hyd) and Sailaja and a brother who is studying Intermediate.
Mohan Nannapaneni, TANA Secretary, stated that TANA TEAM Square members are working on all logistics and helping the family to send the deceased body to Hyderabad.
Jayaram Komati, TANA President, thanked Purna Veerapaneni, Vijay Vemulapalli, Murali Vennam, Srinivas Sukhavasi, Sudhir Katapalli and several other volunteers are helping with the situation.
Prasad Thotakura, TANA President-elect spoke with the family in Hyderabad, expressed deepest condolences on behalf of TANA, contacting University and Consulate officials and overseeing the whole process to complete as quick as possible.
