Houston (March 15, 2013). North American Telugu Association (NATA) Community Services and Houston team, in cooperation with TCA, are organizing a free community event on Indo-US Taxes and Wills & Estate Planning on March 24th in Houston.
The event will include a financial seminar on “US Income Taxes: How recent tax changes affect Indian Americans” by Naresh Setlur, CPA. The thought of writing a Will for saving family assets is a daunting task for many. Attorney Thomas F. Kennedy will present professional thoughts on “Wills and Estate Planning: How to prepare and protect family assets”.
Hundreds of Houston Indian community members, TCA and NATA team members are expected to participate. Workshop will include a Q&A session. Memorial for late RC Arun Sayam will be observed at the meeting. The TCA is co-host of this event.
Walk-in admission begins at 3:30 pm, with tax seminar from 4 pm to 5 pm, and estate seminar from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Mayuri Indian Restaurant on Westheimer Rd, Houston.
This workshop is expected to promote awareness and understanding of Tax and Wills issues, said organizers Dr. Samba Reddy, Manohar Medi, Durga Prasad Seloj, Dr. Rajender Aparasu, and the Houston team.
Since its inception 3 years ago, NATA (www.nataus.org) had stood as a service organization. Now, with new and renewed focus on community services, under Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy presidency, the inscription in NATA logo “Samaaja Sevaye Naata Baata” has been raised and became the iconic stature for this organization.
