NATA Day celebrations in Dallas, TX

NATA Day celebrations was held in grandeur fashion on 30th September, 2011 at Irving Arts Center in Dallas, TX.

There were over 1200 enthusiastic audience that participated in the event. The event marked what is considered to be one of the highest turnouts in the history of Dallas.

Star casts in the celebrations included actresses Ms. Kamna Jethmalani, Ms. Gowri Munjal, singer cum music composer Mr. Raghu Kunche, playback singers Mr. Anuj Gurwara, Ms. Kousalya and Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi.

The celebrations included delicious food served as dinner. The event began with Mr. Mahesh Adibhatla Dallas coordinator, NATA thanking the audience to be part of NATA roju, he was later joined by Ms. Snigdha (Mirapakaya fame) engaging the audience with their anchoring throughout the event. Kousalya mesmerized the people with her golden voice with some catchy numbers. Raghu Kunche rendered soft numbers that took the audience into a different world. Mr. Anuj Gurwara then came and set the stage ablaze with his peppy numbers that soon fortified all the kids entering the stage with non-stop dances. He involved the audience throughout the show.

Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati Board of Director, NATA invited Mr. Prem Reddy and Mr. Pailla Malla Reddy both advisory council members to garland the great departed community leader Arjun Reddy Dyapa’s photo (who was once an advisory council member). He then dedicated the evening in fond remembrance of Late Arjun Reddy Dyapa.

IAFC Texas Coordinator Mr. Prasad Thotakura and TANTEX president Mr. NMS Reddy then felicitated Mr. Prem Reddy and Mr. Pailla Malla Reddy. Mr. Prem Reddy declared this country has unlimited opportunities to prove an individual’s mettle and mentioned he is a living example of it. He mentioned he is moved with the hospitality shown by the Dallas Community. Mr. Pailla Malla Reddy thanked the organizers to have come up with such an excellent event in Dallas and assured he will be there for all needs and necessities of the Telugu community across the country.

Other leaders included Mr. AVN Reddy President, NATA, Mr. Jithender Reddy Convener, NATA 2012, Mr. Sanjeev Reddy President Elect, NATA, Mr. Rajeswar Gangasani Executive Vice-President, NATA, Mr. Pradeep Samala Secretary, NATA, Mr. Mohan Mallam, advisory council member, NATA, Mr. Srinivasulu Reddy advisory council member, NATA, Mr. Dharma Reddy, advisory council member, NATA, Mr. Haranath Policherla international coordinator, NATA and many prominent others.

Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi knowing the pulse of the audience sung the right songs which made the audience wanting for more. Mr. Pratap Bhimreddy Dallas Coordinator, NATA thanked the audience and sponsors for making the event a grand success.

The board of directors and the advisory council then met on 1st October, 2011 between 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM at Omni hotel Dallas.

Respective committees quickly went round the table and brought upto speed on the various community related activities done across the country, they then discussed about the logistics for the upcoming Houston convention between June 29th to July 2nd 2012.

The board then participated in DFW Dasara and Bathukamma sambaralu as well as the Gandhi peace walk on October 2nd, 2011 organized by India Association of North Texas (IANT) under the leadership of Dr. Sridhar Reddy  held in Dallas.

The entire board reiterated the fabulous hospitality shown by Dallas chapter and reaffirmed that they will soon be back to Dallas for more such events.
