According to the agama sastras, after prana pratishta of Lord Sri Venkateswara, it is customary to worship the Lord with the full rigor of offerings and rituals.
However, in order to attain the eligibility to conduct such offerings and rituals, the Maha Mandala Abhishekam must be done after completing 40 days from the Kumbhabhishekam day as per SriPancharatra Bhagavatshaastra Agama.
Accordingly, the board of trustees has scheduled this significant event with advice and counsel from the priests of the temple on July 11th, 2013.
In the Agamas it is interpreted that 41st day (Mandala days) should be celebrated with Abhishekam and other rituals. It is said that when we perform the Maha Mandala Abhishekam, it will bring all auspiciousness for this temple, community and the country.
It is conducted with the sole purpose of eradicating all illness, obtaining good benefits from various yagaas, deriving rich blessings for the well-being of the society and for the healthy propagation of the progeny.
The kumbhabhishekam brings all-round prosperity not only to any particular group or devotees but also to the society as a whole after the completion of Mandala Abhishekam.
