Sex is meant to be a wonderful experience and there are many who crave for it at every given chance. However, there is a time and age for everything so the experts say that till such time ‘self help is the best help’. In other words, they are referring to means of having physical pleasure through our own stimulation. That is called masturbation.
However, it is proportional to the age of the individual and the hormonal changes that are undergoing through him/her. There was a myth that it was only the men who indulged into masturbation but later on, it got revealed that women are equally active in it.
Recently, a survey was conducted to find out what percentage of individuals get into the self satisfying act. It seems that below the age of 12 about 5% do masturbation, from 13 TO 15 years, the graph shoots upto 60%, from 15 years till marriage, it is at the peak with 98% indulgence in masturbation. After marriage, the act still continues for about 10 years and about 70% take part in it. Between the age of 40-50, 50% people involve in masturbation while at the age of 50-60 years, it dips to 30%. Once the age touches between 60-75 years, only 5% of them still continue their masturbation. So if you look at it, there is a parabola which forms as it starts with 5% and ends with 5%. They named it ‘M-Parabola’, the Masturbation-Parabola.
All these statistics have been derived from a survey done by a team of Americans as a part of Human Studies on sampling method. However, they also maintain that there would be few exceptions in any observation where the percentages might differ. But they do attribute a very mystic theory on this stating even the act of masturbation goes through a complete circle just like the life of a soul.
They also say that a possibility of increase in the percentage between 12- 15 years can happen given the current levels of awareness and the presence of adult content in free access. This is basically a process which comes by nature and so the experts say that due care must be taken to lead a healthy and active sex life in the future. And the conclusion is that the masturbation of men varies from place to place, culture to culture and race to race basing on demographic and geographic reasons.
