The name ‘Kalamandir’ might ring a bell to most of the ladies as the place for exquisite collection of sarees and dress materials.
But then, this organization has also been in several activities that have brought a marked difference in the society. Apparently, the Kalamandir team has been involved extensively in several charity acts such as Blood donation camps, Eye check camps, flood relief initiatives etc.
They have also shown their patriotic fervor by coming up with ads during the terror attacks. These activities have been happening since long and now they have decided to take their vision and reach further.
As part of this, the Kalamandir Foundation has been established and a formal opening of the same happened yesterday.
The prime objective of the foundation is aiming at child labor eradication, protecting and preserving the environment and creating awareness about nature and its importance.
The chief guest for the event was the intellectual politician Jayaprakash Narayan and the venue for the event was the Kukatpally branch of the Kalamandir showroom. Also present was the badminton star Saina Nehwal as the honored guest while the latest sensation Tapsee was a special invitee. The celebrity couple Bhumika-Bharat Thakur graced the occasion and the icing on the cake was the presence of producer Lagadapati Sridhar and the top entrepreneur Anita Sukuru.
The speech given by JP was very inspiring and his quoting the example of Warren Buffet was quite relevant and motivating. The anchoring of the event was done by Simha who is also a good singer. Also seen during the event were Madhura Sreedhar and few other noted faces from the celebrity circuit.
Many are appreciating the move by Kalamandir and stated that they are setting an example to others by coming forward with such meaningful projects.
Kalyan, the CEO of Kalamandir, and who also happens to be the Member of Censor Board carried on the event gracefully.
The Foundation is formed on the occasion of the birthday (7th July) of C Prasad, the CMD of Kalamandir.
