Keshava Rao, V Hanumantha Rao, Renuka Chowdary and Jaipal Reddy- the four names have now taken the fourth estate of Andhra Pradesh into their hands. I say this with turbulent conscience, being the key journalist in one of the two popular dailies in Telugu. Every evening, we get a call from any one of the above four and they would ask us to publish something quoting that High Command was serious on a particular issue. I’m writing this, confirming what Konda Surekha alleged about lobbying of ‘Kamma Media’. It is a blunt truth that we are allowed to write whatever is heard against some names or any of those allies. But we need to take permission from our bosses to write if we get any confirmed news that goes in favor of that group. Even though we tend to write some facts those may show some politicians in positive shadow, our bosses force us to remove those lines from the draft.
I’m re-confirming that the so-called High Command being mentioned in our daily is nothing but one among the four names I mentioned at the outset. The Kamma Media appears to be in favor of those four by publishing that High Command is serious on Jagan or Konda Surekha. But the fact is that the attempts are being made to project TDP as stronger party with big unity than Congress by showing some splits.
I have got no freedom to express my anguish on the happenings in the so-called prestigious media houses all these years. Now I could find greatandhra.com to express this.
