Indians Are Rich In Ego Poor In Pockets

India is all about success and growing economy but then the flip side of it is, Indians are getting thick with ego and attitude. Perhaps the best example for that is the rise and fall of the low cost airline Air Deccan which created a revolution in the business of aviation.

Apparently, the airline projected itself with cheap air ticket, middle class man’s flight. They promoted a lot about their cost effectiveness and even in the booklet, there were statements such as “We don’t waste salary on air hostess who just smiles, that doesn’t mean we run an inferior flight.”

While the ideology matched the Indian society, nobody opted because they considered a ‘cheap’ flight. Instead, they opted for Kingfisher Airlines. Because of that attitude, Air Deccan got merged. Now, it is heard that pressure is mounting on the noted train Gareeb Rath express to change its name.

Buzz is that it is hitting on the passengers sensitivity and ego and some groups feel all will get hurt. As such, all classes of people are travelling by this train. But then, the feeling is that with the name even a poor man’s ego will get hurt. This only goes to show that the cost cutting nature is getting reduced and it is a sign of increased western influence in India.
