Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation (USA) was founded to celebrate life and legacy of the greatest leader the Telugu land has ever produced.
The Foundation has organized several charity activities since inception. The following events were conducted on the occasion of his 64th Jayanthi this year.
Mega Health Camp:
The Foundation had organized a Mega Health Camp in Nallagandla of Prakasam District on July 7th, 2013. Dr. Battula Venkateswara Reddy of United States of America was the Grand Sponsor of this event.
Battula Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy and Kasu Venkateswara Reddy had also contributed for this effort in memory of Battula Venkataswamy Reddy.
The Foundation President, Alla Rami Reddy himself attended the event and coordinated all the activities. More than 2000 poor and needy people utilized the services of the health camp. Free medicines and food were distributed to all the attendees of the camp.
Even though this was the first time a health camp was organized by the Foundation, all the activities were well planned, coordinated and successfully executed with the help of all the enthusiastic doctors and volunteers.
The Foundation is thankful to Dr. Raghava Reddy Ghosala of United States of America and Dr. Manne Anjaneyulu for taking the initiative in getting all the doctors into the fold and coordinating them.
The Foundation is thankful to all the doctors for their dedication and volunteering for the health camp. Dr. Manne Anjaneyulu (Opthomology), Dr. P. Venkata Swamy (Neurology), Dr. G. Venkatasubbaiah (Orthopedic), Dr. M. Krishna Rao (Diabetic), Dr. Jaya Sekhar (Orthopedic), Dr. Ramu (General), Dr. C. Venkateswara Reddy (Dentist), Dr. Sanikommu Sailaja (General), Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy (General) and Dr. Nagesh Goud (General) participated and provided their invaluable services. The camp has identified 35 patients who needed cataract surgery and the Foundation arranged the transportation and free surgeries to these patients at Aravind Eye Hospital of Ongole. The Foundation sincerely thanks the volunteers Sastry, Gopal, Battula Rama Krishna Reddy, Battula Srinivasa Reddy, Nagarjuna Reddy, Venkata Reddy, Srinivasulu Reddy and NSS Coordinator Babu for bringing in other needed volunteers. The foundation also recognizes the local coordination efforts of Mukku Chinnapa Reddy.
All the beneficiaries thanked Dr. YSR Foundation, Dr. Battula Venkateswara Reddy (Grand Donor), the doctors and organizers for the effort that brought free medical service to their doorstep.
CC Road:
Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation (USA) has constructed a CC Road in Nallagandla, Prakasam District. Dr. Battula Venkateswara Reddy of United States of America has sponsored this CC Road in his home village. The Foundation thanks Battula Narayana Reddy and Battula Ravi for coordinating all the efforts and finishing this road in record time.
Sponsor Orphans:
Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation (USA) supports selective orphanages in Andhra Pradesh. President, Alla Rami Reddy and donor Girish Ramireddy visited a Foundation supported orphanage in Nidubrole and interacted with beneficiaries and presented them with check. This orphanage supports orphans of all ages (including abandoned babies), along with neglected senior citizens, HIV patients and mentally challenged. Orphanage coordinator, Jack Clamackus thanked Dr. YSR Foundation for supporting.
Student Scholarships:
Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation (USA) provides scholarships to eligible students across the state of Andhra Pradesh. Foundation president, Alla Rami Reddy and donor Girish Ramireddy visited one such school, Vijnana Vihara School in Nuthakki and presented scholarships to the eligible students of the school. Two such students, who were awarded these scholarships were children of a staunch YSR follower Pratap Reddy, who got electrocuted while working on YSR activities as a volunteer. The Foundation made a pledge to support these two children all the way through their college. The school and elders of the village thanked Dr. YSR Foundation for its activities.
