Ghazal Srinivas has donated Rs 1.25 Lakh towards the water purification plant that filters fluoride and provides pure drinking water for 8 villages in and around Seetamma Girijana Thanda of Dhoopahad village in Nalgonda district. The cheque bearing Rs 1.25 Lakh was donated towards this to village Sarpanch Bhadriah through Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Dr Ghazal Srinivas said, “Instead of questioning the government and abusing it for not turning towards this cause, I have decided to touch the guilt conscious of rulers by getting into action. I started sensitizing rulers with my songs many months ago. But since I noticed no reciprocation from government, I got into action in the way I can. Today I adopted 8 villages and on my Ghazal Charitable Trust, we are going to set up 8 more water purification plants that cost more than Rs 25 Lakh to make people free from getting victimized by flourosis”.
On the other hand NATS Director Dr Madhu Korrapati and President Ravi Madala said, “We are here to come forward for this cause in Andhra Pradesh. Our immediate mission will be eradication of fluorosis in AP”.
Ramesh Patel of an NGO named Spread India and Chiranjeevi. Samskruthi Srinivas also participated in this event today.
