Recently, I was doing a bit of study on the prophecies of Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy to check how accurate his predictions have been.
So far, he seems to be on the right track. But what caught my attention was one of his prophecies.
Brahmam garu said “In future, whores will be respected by the society while housewives are insulted.” My first reflex was filled with anger and disbelief as I strongly believe that can never happen.
But when I started reading between the lines of his prophecy, I began to realize that there is indeed an element of truth in it.
Take the example of entertainment industry. Today, heroines and actresses get all the attention and craze whenever they are seen in a public place, but is that the same reaction if a family lady goes? no one cares.
Ironically, someone who is covered from top to toe is looked down by many but only those who are glamorous and sexy get good attention.
All these observations of mine are in a public perspective. Things get interesting when a high profile prostitute also walks into a five star hotel all decked up, she is received like a queen. But assuming a regular housewife dressed in moderate outfit walks into the same place, one can imagine how the response will be.
Like someone said, it is all about ‘show’ business. Even if she is a sex worker in the garb of an actress or a supermodel, the respect and regard given to her is high.
Perhaps that is one reason why few men despite having some stunningly beautiful wives tend to overlook that and peep outside at some glamour bombshells.
While it is natural for public to ogle at beauty and skin show, the instinct finds its roots back to Brahmam garu’s prediction about how today’s world will be like. Sad but true!!
