They may accept it or deny it. But all people in the industry have their share of sentiments. While some have fairly harmless sentiments, others believe in dark elements, of course covertly.
Barring a few directors like Ram Gopal Varma, almost all directors are very devotional.
Now, the latest story doing rounds in Film Nagar is regarding the death of EVV Satyanarayana.
It is being gossiped that some people conducted some special ‘yagams’ and poojas in Rajahmundry.
Well, it is being said that certain people were unhappy with him for the way he showcased Brahmins in his films and that’s the reason why some people took to doing special yagams which eventually led to his untimely death.
Those spreading the story claim that EVV got cancer following these yagams which led to his sudden demise. It is being said that a few who believe this version are now taking special care to avoid such scenes in their films.
Well, people with weak minds do have superstitions. But it is irrational to believe that special yagams can lead to death of people.
Yagams are conducted for people’s welfare and happiness and not for wishing someone dead.
Even if one were to believe such stories, one would question the death of AVS, who was never controversial.
Similarly, Dharamvarapu Subramanyam died at a relatively young age. Another example is the death of Uday Kiran. Who would have wished them dead? EVV died of cancer. So, while it is important to believe in the power of the unknown, it is equally important to be rational and refrain from getting addicted to superstitions.
