Telugu Association of North America (TANA) along with TV9 and Telugu Association of Minnesota (TEAM) collaborated and conducted Dhim TANA dance competitions in Minneapolis on April 6th, 2013. Winners in this competition will be invited to participate in finals to be conducted during TANA conferences in Dallas.
Although the competition date was announced just few days ago, highly talented youth and adults of MN participated with vigor and passion in all categories.
The event was conducted at Hindu Mandir of Minnesota and the auditorium was packed with participants and spectators. Participants competed in film, folk and classical genres gave a visual treat to audience.
Speaking at the occasion, TANA regional coordinator,Sagar Malisetti, thanked the audience for such enthusiastic response and show of talent. He congratulated all participants and said, they everyone is a winner. He said, TANA president Prasad Thotakura, 2013 TANA Convener Murali Vennam and Dhim TANA Cultural chair Uma Yalamanchali supported him in bringing the event to Minneapolis.
He also thanked all the TEAM committee and volunteers (SandeepKukatla , Harsha Paruchuri, Hari Pallempati and RamanRao Kalyanam) who helped put together the event at such short notice. TEAM Vice president, Durga PrasadKunapareddy, who spearheaded the event, gave all the credit to the MN local talent. He also thanked other committee members who gave him able support.
TEAM Board of Directors, Vasanth Chaganti and SudhirNandamuru thanked TANA for the opportunity and hoped the winners will now win again at national level. TEAM Committee members, Sailaja Savanam along withSandhya Lankalapalli, Haritha Chimata, SrikanthKamojjala, Chandrasekhar Jalasutram, Maruthi Nallamallihelped with logistics to make it a success.
