'Compulsory Mediclaim Policy' For H1, F1 Visa Holders

The government of India has got an appeal from Dr Ghazal Srinivas, in favor of students and employees flying abroad from India, through NRI Minister of AP. It is known that Dr Ghazal Srinivas is popular now as the singer who has been on the mission of spreading Gandhian philosophy across the world in about 150 languages.

When the Melbourne Telugu Association President Mr Gopal Tangirala has come to Hyderabad to donate a fund that was raised in Australia for the CM Flood Relief, the meeting was held among the NRI Minister Duddilla Sridhar, Dr Ghazal Srinivas and Melbourne Telugu Association.

Rising to the topic of attacks on Indian nationals in Australia, Dr Ghazal Srinivas suggested not sending any Indian who is going on F1, H1 or any other Visa that entitles him to stay abroad for longer time, without Mediclaim policy. The Minister also has gone in tune with him and said that strict rules should also be framed to take action against Airline authorities or travel agents those sell tickets for such individuals without Mediclaim policy.

The policy is to give financial security for students/employees when any unforeseen circumstances occur due to socio economic and political crisis in any country. The proposal was already taken to Central Government and the things are moving very fast that very soon this rule may be implemented. Sydney Telugu Association President Mr Subba Rao also wished Dr Ghazal Srinivas for this valuable proposal, in tele-conference, during the meeting.
