Brain mapping tests for Raju brothers

Brain mapping tests for Raju brothers

Former chairman of scam-tainted Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju and two other accused in the Rs 7,800 crore accounting fraud case will undergo lie detector and brain mapping tests.

The Nampally Criminal Courts on Thursday granted permission for CBI, probing the scandal, to conduct polygraph and brain mapping tests on Raju, his younger brother and former Satyam Managing Director Rama Raju and former Chief Financial Officer Vadlamani Srinivas. The CBI also asked permission of the court to conduct the forensic tests to bring out the facts.

The court asked the CBI to complete the tests on the three accused persons in eight weeks. The CBI had filed a petition in March this year, seeking the court’s permission for the tests on the ground that the accused were not cooperating during interrogation and not revealing all the details about the fraud.
