Balaji Temple Celebrates Maha Kumbhabhishekam in San Jose

San Jose, CA: Maha kumbhabhishekam for Sri Rukmini Panduranga and Sri Shirdi Sai Baba will take place this month from May 29th through June 2nd, 2013 at Balaji Temple. Alviso (San Jose). 

Swami Anandanathaji, President and Founder of Balaji Temple, and highly renowned priests from California will conduct the Maha kumbhabhishekam in the traditions prescribed by the Veda and Agama Sastras.  Several rights such as Sri Ganapathi puja, Viswakshena puja, punya vaachanam,  suddhi and maha homa will be performed.

During the five days of Maha kumbhabhishekam, the idols are sanctified each day through various purifications such as immersion in food grains, water, milk, flowers and sleep on Friday, May 31st.  On the Maha kumbhabhishekam day, June 2nd, the idols will be installed in the seat of worship (altar) along with the holy yantras at the predetermined auspicious muhurtham time ready for temple worship.  Swamiji will perform kalasabhishekam followed by veda parayanam, archana and maha mangala aarthi.

Swamijis Anniversary Celebrations to commemorate his twenty years of service in America will take place June 1st and 2nd. 

A homa and all cultural program arranged by Telangana Cultural assn and its team headed by Vijay Chavva and Uma Chintalapati with the help of local Indian organizations will be on Saturday June 1st.  On June 2nd, kumbhabhishekam will take place in the morning and honorable guest are invited. 

The souvenir book made by Balaji Temple devotees to honor Swamiji on this occasion will be released and distributed. .  Srinivasa kalyanam  followed by108 Sathya Narayana Puja will also be performed starting at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday the 2nd June, 2013.
