Sometime back a youngster entered into a mall and opened fire abruptly. Many were killed while a few could escape shouting with fear of death. On another day, a youngster entered into a University class room and fired everyone. No one could escape his bullets that time. At last the killer too fired himself.
Such incidents have been prevalent in USA. Freshly, the suspicious deaths of two Telugu guys brought tremors in AP. The news appeared on the banner of AP News Paper since the deceased are Telugus. It has become national news as well. Reports say that four blacks killed them infringing into their apartments.
What factor is pushing the youngsters to commit such crimes? What's chemical imbalance taking place in their brains?
Psychologists, Doctors and Professors are giving their opinions on it.
"Human beings possess id, ego and super ego. Id is instinct (like in any animal-'jantu pravruththi'). Super Ego is conscience (manassaakshi). Ego is between the two which balances Id and Super Ego. Sometimes Id dominates super ego and the individual commits a crime. If super ego dominates his Id he may be rational social being. Only the experiences influence person's Id or Super Ego. Brought up from childhood plays a very vital role in this aspect", says TN Murthy, a professor in Gayatri College of Management, Visakhapatnam.
"It's the result of 'acting-out' phenomenon to cover the inferiority complex. Individuals carry a defensive mechanism to cover the inferiority complex. Identity crisis affects many youngsters those weren't cared by their groups or society. They wish to prove they are strong. They want to see that entire society is afraid of them (because they are afraid of people around in general). They assume people are enemies for them (just like humans kill snakes assuming peril from them). Id dominates their super-ego and they end up as anti social elements and psychic killers", says Dr. Satya Deepika, Hyderabad.
"Indian style of education with more morality in lessons is the best way to nurture right human beings. When the children are neglected by parents and lack in their love, they wish to give the same for society. Neither they care for society nor love their neighbors and fellow-humans. Indian education system is also changing these days getting glued with American color. Morality is going absent in books. How many schools teach Bible stories, Ramayana or Mahabharatha? It's not only America; even the Indian youth are prone to become psychics if the condition prevails", says Amaravathi, a housewife.
The perversions in youth must be prevented with right moral policing. The foundation must be laid strong in childhood itself. Otherwise, the world may see many more Louisiana University incidents.
