Are NRIs Desperate for Publicity?

Off late some of the Telugu NRI community seems to be desperate for publicity. Be it, inauguration of PRP party or YSR victory celebration, NRI community seem to be very excited and are leaving no opportunity to draw attention by organizing meetings, felicitations or even fundraising events.

They always want to be in the center of attention and many of them don't realize that many people are attracted to their idiocy, not their deeds.

Recently a popular news paper published a news item that pushed this enthusiasm to the extreme. This news item talks about 100 day celebration of ‘Mestry ‘ movie in St.Louis.   If you recall, Mestry  a political spoof casting Dasari Narayana Rao, Mohan Babu and Srihari was released before AP elections was a dud at a Box-office.  People of Andhra Pradesh didn’t bother to watch this movie, but our NRI friends hit the news by celebrating 'Sathadinothsavam'.

Sometimes you wonder if these NRI's are desperate for publicity or the newspaper is desperate for NRI news. Either ways we wish both of them can do better than that.
