Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC) celebrated its annual Summer Picnic on Aug 10, 2012, More than 300 adults and kids gathered at Mason Regional Park in Irvine to participate in the picnic.
It really turned out to be a enjoyable and exciting day.The weather was perfect with glorious summer breeze. The event was a grand success. everyone enjoyed fun filled games and delicious Andhra dishes Veg Pulav, Vankaya Pakodi, Aloo bellpepper kurma, Andhra Cut mirchi, Curd ric , Masala vada and Ginger tea sponsored by our Dosa place Annadhatha couple Smt Vijay garu and sri Radhakrishna Vedulla garu.
The picnic brought a Telugu festive look to the park with kids and parents dressing up in traditional Indian dresses.
After delicious lunch, Amar Veeramalla and other TASC committee members Buchi Reddy, Koti Reddy, Radhika, Shobha, Venu Reddy organized fun filled activities. Adults and kids alike enthusiastically participated in the games like Volleyball, Musical chairs, Lemon in spoon, Tug-of-war. It was more like a family get-together, everyone pitching in various activities especially women one gram gold jewellary shopping and various games including Tug of war ,cricket, throw ball, Edu penkulata, musical chair etc.
Kids thoroughly enjoyed the picnic. A colorful jump house was setup, where kids played throughout the day. They participated in games like “Musical Chairs”, Tug-of-war and cricket. Tireless efforts by volunteers were praised by TASC President Nagesh.
TASC executive committee President elect Prasad Rani,Past President Sreekanth Reddy, secretary Mallik Reddy,Treasurer Bayapa Reddy thanked all the sponsors, volunteers and attendees for making this event a grand success.
TASC 2013 Picnic witnessed very high participation rates in all events. And, prizes covered for all these events. The picnic was attended by many TASC Past Presidents Sri Subba Rao Makam,Raja Aysola,Mallik Banda,Anil Arraballi..community leaders from various organizations like SVASA founding President Sri Satya Duvvuru and Smt Annapurna Duvvuru and Veera reddy applauded the efforts by TASC team for yet another successful picnic.
TASC President Nagesh and all the EC members including Past presidents presented the colorful TASC logo engraved medals and cups to the winners.
