AAP: Taking Aam Admi For A Ride?

Aam Admi Party – Seems to have taken a leaf out of one of Rajnikanth starrers, where there is a hypothetical turnover from corrupt society to Ram Rajya, by the toss of a coin.

Can we just trust AAP yet? I just say no and am not any political party sympathizer or follower. If you carefully observe, AAP, it is completely hijacked movement of Anna Hazare for Jan Lokpal Bill.

It is easier to blame a corrupt government, ride on their inefficiencies and go full throttle accusing them for all sort of baddies. Can AAP sustain the requirements for successful administration and governance? I sound pessimistic, until, I can clarify my points substantiating my viewpoint.

Arvind Kejriwal hijacked Anna movement – No one would disagree and I need not stress further on this, as we all know, that he was behind Anna and on realizing the people support and confidence in the movement, he went to create political outfit.

He used all the right tricks to gain further popularity by going on the Delhi roads and protesting the inflated electricity bills. He hasn’t really let us know, how and at what cost, cheap electricity be provided? All that someone could learn from that is, take law in your own hands and make sure you have gang of people and media covering your act.

Further to that, he targeted people like Vadra and Mukesh Ambani, as he realized, that the common people would be more interested to lend their eyes and ears, than their own personal matters.

It is more than clear that, he wanted to create a solid base for himself and project himself as the messiah of the middle class people, owing to his own society status.

What really helped AAP was the congress digging its own grave by loose governance and BJP jumping for almost everything, blocking parliament sessions and some of its own governments and party leaders were a blot on the political spectrum.

People were all frustrated by the silent Prime Minister and irresponsible ministers in the central government.

What came as a boon was “Nirbhaya Case” and again mishandling the case/misreading people sentiment did the last nail in the coffin of the UPA government.

Although whether it was AAP or not, every citizen was agitated and would wanted to participate in demonstrations against the inability of the government, atleast to pacify the people.

I wouldn’t say AAP took advantage of it, they just participated and that drew closer to the Delhi people. Inflation and price rise of essential commodities performed the funeral rights of the congress government and the result of recent election results were mere formality of announcement of death of congress.

Arvind Kejriwal should come out in open about his view points and how he intends to it and at what cost/impact, than by creating popular themes to entrap middle class.

If AAP also fails to deliver, then the real danger is for the people like Anna, who started a movement for lokpal. People will not trust them anymore and would lead them to consider violence as the only path that can get them rid of corruption.

Delhiites wanted an escape route from Congress, not as much from BJP and found AAP to be an alternative. But think about this, we can blame system/people, but we cannot sustain without it.

Hence, although we blame politicians, but we need them to be less corrupt and be responsible for their jobs.

One thing to admit is we can never eradicate corruption, but can restrict and control it to an acceptable level. Just look at it, in our own small world, we aam admi’s are also corrupt. We do politics in office, relationships, colleges and even in schools.

All I am saying is today it is 90:10 (may be incorrect in proportion) - 90% corruption and 10% genuine because of honest people and we just need to reverse that.

My question goes back on why did Arvind Kejriwal target Vadra and Mukesh Ambani, if it was not for mileage for his own image?  If not, what viewpoint he has and how does he want to contribute further to ensure, he gracefully terminates the issues raised by himself.

I would really appreciate and change my stand on AAP, if Mr. Kejriwal honestly puts forth his thoughts on how, he is going to achieve the promises he makes to Aam admi. Does he really realize? Or he really knows, what aam admi wants – Just making strong statements by thumping the chest, which directly connects to them  Or it is just an emotional formula to fool an Aam Admi?, which the big political outfits have mastered and reaping benefits.

Now with honorable Supreme court allowing NOTA option, we have the power in our hand to choose best candidate irrespective of the party. So, please think prudently and make an informed choice than an emotional one. Each one of our vote will affect other billion fellow citizens and in turn our society and ultimately our country.
