2009 Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu

Dallas/Ft Worth: 2009 DFW Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu event was kicked with a bang at Spice Inn restaurant

with over 50 attendees from various local Telugu organizations/sections. The event kick off was so successful that the kick off meeting raised over $5000 funds for the 2009 event and Mr. Ram Yalamnchili of Discover Travel announcing as Mega Sponsor and Mr.Surya Naidu of Hot Breads as Grand Sponsors.

Meeting started with a welcome by Ananth Reddy Pajjur & a prayer by Chandra Bandar, followed by Introduction. Ananth explained last year event grand success stories, how last year traditional Bathukamma & Dasara was celebrated by over 2500 attendees. Satish Reddy talked about how the event was successful with dedicated and commitment from over 80 contributors who worked hard day in and day out to make the 2008 event a grand one. He also continued thanking all the 2008 event sponsors/donors, specially presenting sponsor Mrs.Kavitha & Dheera Akula of Akula Associates, Mega Sponsors (American Unit, Rice One Roll, Ahar Indian Restaurant, DSC inc.) and Media sponsors (Radio Salam Namaste, Ananda Lahari/Eknzar) for generously sponsoring/donating & supporting the 2008 event. 

With a loud and thunderous applause, Satish Reddy & Janaki Mandadi announced the date/location for the 2009 Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu event scheduled for Sep 26th Saturday at Amphitheater at Oak Point Center, Plano. Janaki Mandadi explained the various 2009 event committees and their responsibilities for the 2009 event and also next steps for 2009 event. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati, President, TANTEX, Satish Reddy, Regional Coordinator, ATA, Murali Vennam, SW Regional Coordinator, TANA and Karun Dasari, Jt Treasurer, TDF & Mr.Ram Kasarla, Regional Coordinator, TDF explained to the attendees how each of their organization is going to support the 2009 Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu event. Finally there were lots of suggestions from various attendees on how to improve 2009 event compared to last year event and followed by Q & A. Meeting was adjourned with a vote of thanks and prayer.

Treasurer, TDF), Mr. Ram Kasarla (Regional Coordinator, TDF), Mr.NMS Reddy (Vice President, TANTEX), Mr.Surya Naidu (NATS), Mr.Venkat Musku (EC, Tantex), Mr. Swaroop Kunduru (EC, Tantex), Mr. Pavan Raj Nellutla (EC, Tantex), Mr. Rajesh Pillamari (EC, Tantex), Mr. Ravi Venishetty, Mr.Bhanu Chowdary, Mr.Karunakar Reddy, Mr. Shaker Brahmadevara, Mr.Srikanth Suravaram, Mr.Mahendra Reddy, Mrs.Sree Reddy, Mr.Bhaskar Mamidi, Mr.Narsimha Mereddy, Mr.Prathap Singi Reddy, Mr.Venkat Seri, Mr.Srinivas Damera, Mr. Ravi Bajjuri, Mr.Sudhir Guda, Mr. Ashok Kondala, Mr.Ranjith Kumar, Mr. Robert Reddy, Mrs.Kavitha, Mr. KC Chekuri, Mr. Chandra Bandar and among others.

2009 event organizers also thanked Mr.Prathap Reddy of Spice Inn Restaurant, Irving for hosting the kick off meeting and for supporting the event. Next contributors meeting will be held on August 2nd at the Spice Inn Restaurant, Irving from 0300p-0400p and visit dfwbathukamma.org web site regularly for any event updates. South Asian media leader Radio Salam Namaste will be exclusive media partner for the 2009 event. 2009 Bathukamma & Dasara Sambaralu event is presented by Telangana Development Forum (TDF), and supported by local Telugu organization TANTEX, and also supported national Telugu organizations American Telugu Association (ATA) & Telugu Association of North America (TANA).
