TTA International Women’s Day Celebrations - Governor of Telangana as Chief of Guest.
Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA), the first national Telangana organization, is pleased to provide you with the highlights of the Women's Day event that took place on 18th March 2023. The event was a huge success, and we thank all those who attended and participated.
The event began with opening remarks by the current President Vamshi Reddy garu highlighting the contributions of women in this world and especially in the organization. He encouraged women to play more pivotal roles in community services by leading and setting an example for others to follow.
Our founder Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy garu, AC Chair Dr.Haranath Policherla garu, AC Co-chair Dr.Mohan Patlolla garu and AC Dr.Vijaypal Reddy garu have wished women within the organization and outside and appreciated their contributions to the community.
Following the opening remarks, Apollo Hospitals Joint MD Dr.Sangita Reddy garu discussed the vital role played by women in healthcare and the steps the organization is taking to support them. She also highlighted the need for more women to pursue careers in the field of healthcare and the importance of addressing gender disparities in the industry.
TTA awarded Dr.Sangita Reddy garu with “TTA-Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” for all her services.
After that, Honorable Governor Of Telangana Dr.Smt. Tamilisai Soundarajan garu,Chief Guest spoke about the importance of empowering women and creating equal opportunities for them. She also highlighted the significant contributions made by women in various fields, including healthcare. She lauded the efforts of TTA in women's empowerment and encouraged more women leaders to take action for the betterment of the community.
TTA recognizes the exemplary work done by Dr.Smt. Tamilisai Sondarajan garu by presenting the “TTA-Chief Guest of Honor” memento for the TTA Women’s International Day – 2023.
TTA women’s day event was organized by TTA Women leaders Swathi Chennuri garu (Women Committee Advisor), Sangeeta Reddy garu (BOD), Kavitha Reddy garu (General Secretary), Usha Reddy garu (BOD), Rama Vanama garu (BOD), Priyanka garu (TTA Seattle) and many other women leaders in the organization.
We also thank Lavanya Guduru garu (Anchor) for emceeing the event and making it lively and fun for everyone. President Elect Naveen Mallipeddi Garu and all EC members and BODs conveyed women’s day wishes.
The event also featured one of a kind Virtual “TTA Maharani” (a beauty pageant contest, in which usually women are judged based on their sense of confidence, presence, walk, posture, attire, and attractiveness), where a lot of women sent their nominations and the jury panel led by Chaitanya Poloju garu, Anusha Vangara garu went through those nominations to select the winners Ramya Ayyanki (Winner), Neelima Boddu (1st Runner-up), Sowmya Pandiri (2nd Runner-up). The event is coordinated by Jyotsna Palakurthy garu and Deepthi Yeluguri garu and received an amazing response from Telangana community women.
TTA congratulates all the winners and thanks the coordinators and jury panel for their excellent execution of first of the kind TTA Maharani event. Overall, the Women's Day event was a great success with performances like signing and dance from various artists across the world, and we hope that it has contributed to raising awareness about the importance of gender equality and empowering women.
We thank the TTA Leadership and the participants for their contribution and support, and we look forward to continuing our efforts toward creating a more inclusive society.
