DARA Embarks Journey of Community Service

Dallas, TX - In a significant ceremony, the Dallas Area Rayalaseema Association (DARA) recently unveiled its official structure for 2024. This event, inclusive of an oath-taking ceremony, highlights DARA’s steadfast dedication to advancing its mission of promoting and preserving Rayalaseema culture.

Sunil Devireddy, a longstanding member of DARA, assumes the presidency with a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to the organization’s objectives. His pivotal role in orchestrating numerous events has earned him the community’s trust and admiration.

The oath-taking ceremony, attended by committee members, the Board of Directors, office bearers, and the President, symbolizes a collective vow to serve DARA with unwavering dedication. Members reminisced about the organization’s journey, tracing its evolution from a grassroots community group to the established Dallas Area Rayalaseema Association in 2013.

Central to DARA’s mission is its dedication to community service. Through various charity initiatives like food drives and 5K walk/runs, DARA supports orphanages and elderly care homes in the Rayalaseema region. The annual DARA Picnic has become a cherished tradition in the Dallas area, showcasing Rayalaseema’s rich culinary heritage.

DARA’s influence transcends cultural preservation; it has also earned acclaim for being the first organization in North America dedicated to promoting Rayalaseema’s culture and cuisine, inspiring similar endeavors across the continent. Collaborating with a network of organizations, DARA amplifies the impact of community service endeavors.

Youth engagement is a focal point for DARA, recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation. The organization provides opportunities for youth to network, collaborate, and contribute to their community. Plans are underway to offer youth training and professional networking opportunities to support their career development.

During the event, the President outlined committee roles and responsibilities, and discussions revolved around the 2024 events calendar, including health seminars, youth activities, and sports events. Women’s Day was also celebrated, acknowledging and honoring women’s contributions to the community.

The newly sworn-in executive committee, board members, and other committee members represent a diverse group committed to advancing DARA’s mission. Their collective expertise and dedication will undoubtedly propel the organization to greater success and impact.
