India's youngest state, Telangana, is participating in a mega-survey ordered by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or KCR. Priced at Rs. 20 crore, the survey covers all 10 Telangana districts.
The 'Intensive Household Survey', according to KCR's government, will help identify the state's beneficiaries of welfare schemes. For example, there are more ration cards currently issued in the state for families that are below-the-poverty-line than the total number of households in the state.
Thousands of enumerators are going from door to door to collect comprehensive data about households in the Telangana state.
The enumerators went to the residence of film hero Jr.NTR at Jubilee Hills this morning and completed their survey there. They got all the details about Jr.NTR’s wife Lakshmi Pranathi and their son Abhay Ram.
The survey was also completed in the residence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu at Jubilee Hills in the city.
