Well, a year and half after the Telangana state has been formed, looks like the Telangana cabinet is slowly showing cracks. And one crack that is out and open is the discontentment against Talasani Srinivasa Yadav being given prominence from among the present set of ministers.
The latest move that has irked many in TS cabinet is the appointment of Talasani as the chairman of sub-committee that will be looking into regularisation of illegal constructions and lands.
It is known that Talasani had joined TRS after being with TDP for a very long time. At the time, not many were happy with the move and criticised the decision of KCR to welcome outsiders into the party.
And recently, Talasani toured old city and it is being said that deputy CM Mehmood Ali was not one bit pleased with his visiting Charminar and other areas without informing him.
Another major pain point for many ministers is the fact that a lot of Greater Hyderabad employees are said to be more attentive to Talasani vis-a-vis them. So this too is leading to discontentment.
However, KCR is expecting to use the vote bank of Talasani to his advantage during the forthcoming Greater Hyderabad elections and Sanath Nagar elections.
But in all, senior ministers are said to be unhappy about Talasani being given such prominence.
Now, KCR and Talasani were part of the same party in the past and vote bank equations seem to be the reasons behind KCR trusting him more than other Telangana ministers many of whom are part of the cabinet for the first time.
Whatever could be the actual reason, the inside news from TRS is that not many senior leaders are happy with Talasani.
