The grievances of employees aren’t being addressed, but looks like the AP NGOs don’t have relief coming any time soon.
In fact, from the way things are panning out, it looks like they will have to shell out half of a month’s salary for the development of capital city.
AP NGOs president Ashok Babu had organized felicitation for AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu after he was elected as the CM. Now, months later, he is planning for another felicitation, this time in Tirupathi.
At the same time, a meeting will be held which will focus on the active contribution of state government employees in the development of Andhra Pradesh.
Towards this end, AP NGOs will have to voluntarily contribute half month’s salary to capital fund.
Now they wouldn’t have minded if this was the first and last time. But they have been giving away a day’s salary quite regularly and willingly.
However, the latest news has come as a surprise to many and it is heard that almost all of them are unhappy with the idea of giving up half of their salaries.
In the past, AP government had collected money through the ‘hundi’. Of course, the corporates put in their share along with the many people looking for plum contracts from the government.
So, where is the need to take the salaries of government employees? Some time back, there was a rumour that Ashok Babu was hoping to get nominated for the Legislative Council.
The NGOs strongly opine that even if he misses the chance this time around, he will surely be considered in future.
