Despite TDP leaders requesting Pawan Kalyan to take the onus of getting the Centre to accord special status to Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena founder and power star Pawan Kalyan once again tweeted a request to Andhra Pradesh government.
Well, he asked the TDP government to re-consider its decision to take away fertile lands to develop the new capital.
He said that land that gives at least two to three crops per year must not be snatched from the farmers by thrusting the land acquisition act on them, said Pawan.
Farmers from Penumaaka, Nidamarru and other villages are said to be against giving up their lands for development of capital and they had submitted a request letter to the government regarding the same.
Following Pawan Kalyan’s request in the past, minister Narayana had said that his government would take Pawan’s suggestion into consideration. However, later, they announced that if the farmers did not give up their lands before August 20, the government would be acquiring another 2000 acres.
AP CM Chandra Babu has also said that the government will go about its job as per law. Given this background, Pawan Kalyan has once again tweeted his request to the Andhra Pradesh government.
Well, though he had promised action, Pawan has only been tweeting requests for some time and hasn’t done anything concrete to help the cause of the farmers. On the other hand, the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh has been going about its agenda without bothering about any requests or opposition.
Given the sarcastic way in which the Telugu Desam leaders had reacted to Pawan’s requests in the past, it remains to be seen how they will counter Pawan this time around.
