Naidu Poaching 10 More MLAs From YSRC?

Naidu Poaching 10 More MLAs From YSRC?

If the reports from the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh are to be believed, party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to revive his Operation Akarsh again.

According to these reports, Naidu has sent feelers to at least 10 more MLAs from the YSR Congress party asking them to join the TDP.

Needless to say, he has made several attractive offers to them, if they quit the YSRC and join the TDP.

It is learnt these MLAs hail from Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor and Nellore, besides Krishna district. If the deal is struck, it is only a matter of time that they would take a plunge into the TDP.

Apparently, Naidu told them that Jagan would be going to jail again very shortly and the YSR Congress party would become headless. As such, the party would not have any direction to fight the next elections, he is learnt to have told them.

Till now, the TDP chief has managed to poach as many as 21 MLAs from the YSR Congress party and gave cabinet berths to four of them. He also promised to provide important posts to a few others.

Though the cabinet reshuffle did not satisfy everybody, the defected MLAs had no option but to continue in the TDP after Naidu assured them to take care of their political interests.
