Naidu Lost Hope On Increase In Assembly Seats?

While Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is still hopeful on getting the number of assembly seats increased in his state, his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have lost his hope on the same.

This was evident from the statement of Naidu, who told the party functionaries a couple of days ago to strive for winning all the 175 seats in the next Assembly elections.

“In 2019, we should win all the 175 assembly seats in the state,” he said, while admitting YSR Congress party MLA from Pamarru Uppuleti Kalpana in to the TDP.

In fact, Naidu was admitting the YSR Congress party MLAs who had defeated TDP candidates in the last elections, by promising them that he would accommodate all of them as the number of constituencies would be increased. Now, he is saying the TDP would win 175 seats, which reflects poor quality of political vision.

YSR Congress party spokesman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said the TDP had huge amounts of unaccounted money and had been taking in legislators from other parties luring them with various sops and incentives which may not materialize in the passage of time.

“The 21 MLAs who crossed over are black sheep herded through unfair practices,” he said.
