Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao who raised a lot of hue and cry over the merger of seven mandals of Khammam with AP to facilitate Polagaram project seems to have forgotten the same now.
This was pointed out by Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday.
He said that KCR has completely ignored the issue of merger of seven mandals of Khammam district into Seemandhra. Despite giving an assurance, KCR had neither sent an all-party delegation to New Delhi nor had he convened an all-party meeting on the issue.
He demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao take an all-party delegation to President of India Pranab Mukherjee during latter's visit to the city on Saturday on the Polavaram issue.
Ponguleti also informed that the Telangana Congress would organise a protest on Polavaram issue at Indira Park on August 9th, the anniversary of Quit India Movement.
