He Is Perfect For MEK

Think Tandra Paparayudu, Bhakta Ramadasu and Annamayya, they remind you of brave battles, bhakti and music respectively. While they are the last name in their chosen fields, our own film stars and television stars strive to enact and ‘live’ in the roles offered to them with sincerity.

Of course, for any actor to put in his best, he or she needs the right platform and the right team to give their best inputs. One such opportunity came to senior star Nagarjuna in the form of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu.

Just like Amitabh Bachchan was ideal for Kaun Benega Crorepati, even Nagarjuna looks picture perfect for MEK. His easy style of conversation, his maturity in handling guests from different backgrounds, his body language and his entire persona have worked wonders for the show.

The relaxed manner in which he is hosting the show has also appealed to the people and it’s raining TRPs for MEK.

Right now, MEK is on top vis-à-vis other programmes on Telugu television channels. And viewers and critics are completely in agreement that only Nag could have pulled off such a show.

Had megastar Chiranjeevi conducted the show, it would have suffered time lags and there would be lots of confusion, feel industry insiders.

Similarly, if Balakrishna hosted the show, it would have bewildered the participants; while Pawan Kalyan would have created tension on the sets with his over enthusiasm.

On the other hand, a lesser star like Sai Kumar who hosts a popular television show would have hosted it at a slow pace irritating the audience and the participants.

However, if ever the show goes to any other star, many feel that Venkatesh would be next best option.

With Nagarjuna announcing that the show’s first season is about to end, talk in tinsel ville is that Nagarjuna gets total credit for making the show entertaining and interesting.

It is being hoped that the show will go on given its high TRPs and Nag’s popularity among the audience.
